In 2018, the first competition of the Academy of Artificial Intelligence for schoolchildren started. About 8.5 thousand schoolchildren then registered on the Academy’s website and began their acquaintance with the world of AI by solving educational problems, 305 of them subsequently sent a solution to the competition problem of the online stage.
The authors of the 100 best solutions to the online stage problem were invited to Moscow for the Hackathon finals. During the day, guys from 39 Russian cities developed an algorithm that predicted the probability of victory for one of the teams in the computer game Dota 2.
Participants had to predict the victory of one of the teams in a Dota 2 match: in the online stage task, the guys “guessed” whether they would win or not; in the final, they predicted the probability of victory.
